Stazzy

Stazzy is a custom Witscord emote originally uploaded by Staz on January 14, 2021.[1] It depicts a stylized rendition of the "Angryman" logo designed by The Designers Republic (tDR), drawn in blocky, black strokes on a vivid yellow background. The eyes of the figure are bright magenta, and a trademark symbol (™) is visible in the top right corner.
History and Usage
The original design behind Stazzy was created during the production of Formula Fusion, later released as Pacer in 2020. The logo can be seen in various promotional materials for the game designed by tDR, representing the group as a whole.[2] With Staz's pfp being the original Angryman, and the existence of a :staz: emote alongside several similarly-named variants, the name "Stazzy" was chosen to follow suit.

Upon first adding the emoji, Staz claimed it was "only for special occasions",[3] to which Raz remarked that the name sounded like an award and began granting one stazzy per day to a message of their choice. About a week later, on January 30, sus briefly suggested that any post which garners ten stazzies should be pinned in its associated channel.[4]
After two more months, on March 21, the prospect was revisited by unsus;[5] after some discussion, Sloss offered to add functionality to her Stazkun bot. This coincided with the creation of #n-stazzy, a read-only channel into which all posts meeting a certain threshold of stazzies would be automatically posted for archival. After some evolution, these posts began to display the stazzied message's author, embedded images, and a link to the original message. Stazzied messages would also be automatically granted an additional "good job" emote. The needed threshold was definitively agreed to be 5, though the channel name maintains its ambiguity to this day.
Over time, the meaning of the emote has shifted slightly, often being used akin to a general "laugh" emote—more specifically, the emote is used to express that an associated post is especially funny, clever, or otherwise amusing, and thus worthy of praise. In rare circumstances it may also simply mean that a post is good or high-quality. In this way, it can be thought of as a universal "upvote" reaction, with the opposing stizzy serving as a "downvote".
Several years after the implementation of stazzies, panic created Mastobot, a very similar system in which messages are sent to Witscord's collective Mastodon account when a message reaches 5 elephant reacts, as well as to an #n-stazzy analogue known as #the-pipe.

Stazzy Variants
For the duration of the staz emote's existence, numerous "variant" emojis have been created by various users, uploaded to various emojibank servers. Such emotes feature similar Angryman iconography, remixed into new forms and often intended to be used in exceedingly specific circumstances.
